The Recruitment committee plans and organizes events at the beginning of both the fall and
spring semester. We call this span of time 'Rush Week', and it is generally about two weeks long,
and starts either the second or third week of the semester. The idea of Rush Week is to connect
with students that are interested in joining Theta Tau. The committee holds informational sessions,
and invite all members in the College of Engineering to come learn about our fraternity. After these
meetings, the committee plans some type of fun activity for everyone. Additionally, the committee
plans events in which food is provided, and students are encouraged to come hang out with current
members. After Rush Week is over, members of this committee hold weekly meetings with the potential new members
(PNMs) that were offered a bid. These weekly meetings are in place to teach the potential new members

important information about the fraternity. Also, we encourage current
brothers to attend these meetings in order to get to know our brothers-in-training before their formal initiation,
which takes place at the end of the semester. This year, we hope to develop a more organized and formal recruitment
process, which will be implemented in Fall 2017!
