The homework on the course addresses key enabling technologies for Internet-Based E-Commerce. The software required is shown under each homework and is described on the software page.

Homework 1 

This involves setting up web server software and configuring an initial web site;  client-side scripting using ActiveX controls and generating an initial database. 
Software required: IIS (on WinXP CD), ActiveX Control Pad, Microsoft Access.

Homework 2

This involves producing economic return analysis and  initial Java programs.
Software required:  Java SDK

Homework 3

This involves producing initial Java applets.
Software required: Java SDK

Homework 4 

This involves server-side programming with database connectivity using Active Server Pages (ASP) and XML programming using XSL.
Software required: IIS, Microsoft Access.

Homework 5

This involves building virtual worlds using VRML.
Software required: Cosmo Player
