7/16In class on Monday July 18 we start Java. The slides are here -- there are a lot of them, so be careful with printing.
HW3 is due Monday July 18 at 3 pm
Quiz 3 is on Wednesday July 15
HW4 is due on Monday July 25 at 3 pm.

7/10In class on Monday July 11 we will cover client scripting. The slides are here.
HW2 is due Monday July 11 at 3 pm.
Quiz 2 is on Wednesday July 13

7/6Homework 2 is due Monday July 11 at 3 pm.

Class on Wednesday July 6 will start with Quiz 1 and then will cover XML and ASP from Section 2. Don't forget that HW1 and the Project Proposal are due today, July 6.

6/3Here is the schedule for the first few classes.

Wednesday June 22 - class overview, Internet Network Structure, Web server configuration, overview of databases.
Monday June 27 - class is a lab help session to help students configure web server etc.
Friday July 1 - NOTE POSTPONEMENT FROM 6/29. Modular software components, homework 1 and project selection

6/3To start, it helps to obtain some feel for how your computer communicates through the Internet. Use the following Command Prompt functions: netstat (to identify ports in use), ipconfig (to determine IP address), ipconfig /all and  tracert www.bbc.com (to track a packet to it's destination). You can access the command prompt from Start | Programs | Accessories (depends on how you have XP configured) or from Start | Run and then type in cmd.
