HW 5 Resume

The task for this homework is to produce a resume for an intern position.

You should carefully read pages 5 - 8 of "Career Manual . Providing Guidance and Resources", distributed in class on Monday September 18.

You will need to produce a resume that:

  1. Is ONE page.
  2. Is for a Summer intern position at an engineering company.
  3. Uses 12 (or 11) point font.
  4. Does NOT use a template.
  5. Follows the top five principles for writing effective resumes (page 5).
  6. Contains the content described in pages 6, 7 and 8, and in the examples shown on page 9.

Submit the Word document as an e-mail attachment by 4:20 pm FRIDAY September 22 to the class e-mail account eng_0056@engineering.uiowa.edu

You will ALSO need to book an appointment to go over your resume with  Phil Jordan, Director Professional Development or Kelli Delfosse, Recruiting Specialist, through the Student Development Center 3124 Seamans Center 319-335-5763. Your appointment should be before October 2.
