This course covers the fundamental processes of the water cycle, including precipitation, evaporation, infiltration, and runoff. Quantitative approaches are developed for characterizing watersheds and stream networks, predicting components of the water cycle, and simulation of rainfall-runoff processes.

After taking this course you will be able to carry out hydrologic assessments of watersheds, use hydrologic methods for predicting streamflow and design discharges, and apply hydrologic concepts for flood hazard assessment and stormwater management.
