About this course

This course is intended to help engineers understand financial decision making as it relates to engineering, manufacturing and business applications. The goal of this course is to equip you with the basic economic concepts that will instill a deeper understanding of the business environment.

Text

Park, Chan S.; 2002, "Contemporary Engineering Economics" 3rd Edition, Prentice Hall, ISBN 0-13-089310-2.

Note: This has a (disgustingly high) retail price of $111.15 but is available for somewhat less than this from Amazon.com or Half.com. (See: Rip-off 101 : How The Current Practices Of The Textbook Industry Drive Up The Cost Of College Textbooks).  Also consider buying one textbook to share between several.
