About Fluids Laboratory
|
IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering has a
long tradition of excellence in fluid
mechanics and hydraulics instruction. The tradition which dates back in
the early 1930’s continues today. In February
1995, IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering proposed consolidating the fluids teaching laboratories in the
College of Engineering to form a single state-of-the-art teaching facility,
supported by IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering workshop, electronics and computer personnel.
The Fluids Lab
enables the students to understand the basic flow mechanisms and to familiarize
the future engineer with the last developments in the experimental techniques
and instrumentation. A unique feature of the Lab is that it aims to train
undergraduate as well as graduate students on the use and application of
advanced numerical models in a simple and effective manner in conjunction
with a state-of-the-art experimental facility devoted to instruction.
