PETER O'GRADY

Professor Peter O'Grady is Professor Emeritus  at The University of Iowa, which he joined in 1995. Prior to that he was a Professor at North Carolina State University. He has bachelors and masters degrees from University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham.

Peter O'GradyPeter O'Grady has been Associate Editor of Journal of Manufacturing Systems; a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Computer Integrated Manufacturing; a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Production Planning and Control; a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Computers and Industrial Engineering; and a member of the Editorial Board of Engineering Design and Automation. He has been Editor, Design, Transactions of Institute of Industrial Engineers; and USA Editor of Journal of Design and Manufacturing. He has received the Norman A. Dudley Award for his paper "Feature-Based Design of Electronic Assemblies".


Dr. O'Grady has taught at both graduate and undergraduate levels and has received the Clifton A. Anderson Outstanding Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching and Education. He received the IE Outstanding Professor Award in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011 from the IIE Student Chapter at The University of Iowa.
