Displacement effect of the SPIV camera bodies:

• Pitot probe measured axial velocity, U, around the SPIV camera bodies along the longitudinal direction.

• Camera body diameter D = 100 mm.

• Measurement result reveals the flow disturbance is maximum with U/U_C = 0.96 near at x/D = -4.

• At x/D = 0, where the SPIV measurement area is located, the amount of flow retardation by the camera body, 1 - U/U_C = 0.0063, is comparable with b_R = 0.0058.
