Problem #32
HEC-HMS Ralston Creek

Working either alone or in a group of two (maximum), prepare at skeleton HEC-HMS Model for Ralston Creek.

  1. Develop a model to simulate flows for Ralston Creek for the June 1972 event. Since you do not have estimates for all the watershed characteristics (e.g., subbasin drainage area, weights for individual rain gages), first use “ballpark” estimates (as a placeholder). Continue until you have completed the simulation run, and printout a copy of the global summary table and a hydrograph of the results (observed and simulated flows).
  2.  List the variables and parameters that need to be estimated for final prediction.

This problem does not need to be in the engineering problem solution format. Printout of copy of this problem statement, staple it is the printout of the global summary table, and turn it in.
