USGS Stream-Gages

The US Geological Survey (USGS) monitors streamflow at sites throughout the country. Use the USGS web site (water.usgs.gov) to find three stream-gage sites in your location of interest — pick the location, then find what stream-gage sites are nearby.

For the three stream-gages you pick, list the following information:

1. The USGS gage number and name
2. The drainage area (in mi²)
3. The period of record for daily discharge data
4. The date of last field measurement of streamflow
