GRADUATED

1. Dr. Harn-Jou Yeh, PhD 1996
"Singularity and Workspace Analyses of Serial Robot
Manipulators" currently Research Engineer at Microtek, Taiwan
(email: hjyeh@microtek.com.tw)
2. Dr. Jin-Fan (Jeff) Liu, PhD 1999
" Dynamics and Design Sensitivity Analysis of Linear Elastic Planar Mechanisms", currently at LMS CADSI Inc., Coralville, IA. Jeff.Liu@lmscadsi.com
3. Dr. Wei Yu
B.S., M.S., Fudan University
Ph.D. Shanghai Jiaotong University
Ph.D., University of Iowa, 2001
(Email: ywei@ccad.uiowa.edu)
Research Interests: Yu Wei is developing general formulations for optimally placing robot arms in a working environment and using theories from swept volume analysis.
4. Jingzhou Yang, PhD expected 2002
jyang@engineering.uiowa.edu
Research Interests: Yang has developed new formulations for swept volumes of NURBS with applications to human limb workspace, robotics, and ergonomics. He is well published and has recently implemented these formulations in Mathematica and towards haptic (force feedback) applications.
5. Zan Mi, PhD expected 2003
zanmi@engineering.uiowa.edu
PhD, University of Iowa, expected 2002
Research Interests: Zan Mi has developed and implemented inverse kinematic methods for robotics and digital humans. Zan has developed and implemented one of the most realistic posture prediction algorithms that uses rigorous optimization and the concept of task based functions.
