Multi-Ethnic Engineering and Science Association

What is MESA?
MESA serves as a collaborative organization of several multicultural groups including (but not limited to) the National Society of Black Engineers and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. MESA serves as a support group for students seeking an inclusive community of learning, scholarship, and service. We strive for cultural diversity, empowerment for U.S. and international students, and retention of minorities traditionally underrepresented in Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Community outreach programs and leadership conferences are examples of MESA activities.

Undergraduate and Graduate students benefit from conferences assembled by both associations as well as a support network for varied scenarios. You are welcome to contact us for further details. This criminal release form is required to be filled and background check passed before you can tutor.

HOW does MESA tutoring achieve such phenomenal results?
The results of the program can be attributed to the hard work and dedication of the students, their parents and the tutors. Our tutors work with individual students when possible.

The focus of the program is to teach the students how to understand what they are doing Instead of focusing on the answer. Combine this with a focus on fundamental concepts and we have a winning combination. Given the stress free environment, students are allowed to learn without the pressure of grades.
