A design project that applies the 10-step design process is developed by student teams and gives an opportunity for limited hands-on experience. The student will submit a proposal, progress reviews, written final report that describes the objectives, approach, equipment, software and other relevant important information, and give a presentation to the other students in the class.
Grades are determined from scores for assignments, the project, class participation and attendance. Final grades are based on a combination of the lecture section work (50%) and the design section work (50%).

You may want to confer with another classmate from time to time and you will
gather information from various sources in the literature, but make sure
that what you hand in is your own work, and that your citations give appropriate
credit to the sources you draw from. Engineers may be the last professional
holdout for integrity and honesty in our society.
